Mostly for Joe's benefit, here are the links to the YouTube videos of Michael Wesch from Kansas State:
The Machine is Us/ing Us -- The original video that went viral; great little introduction to what constitutes Web 2.0 and why it's so exciting/creepy at the same time
A Vision of Students Today -- Short video full of interesting stats; note that it's the product of a collaborative class project. And most of my professors haven't ever opened a Google document. Shameful!
An anthropological introduction to YouTube -- I haven't watched all of this; just the first 25 minutes or so. Wesch at the Library of Congress -- good for him! Fascinating information, and again he is mesmerizing in his delivery.
Forget powerpoint. This guy really raises the bar -- he's very skilled working with video editing software. And picking out tunes from the creative commons.

The first few minutes of the introduction to youtube video are truly fascinating, so don't let the length of the video deter you from checking it out.
